SPONTANEOUS LANDSCAPES

Academy of Architecture Amsterdam (2017)

V1 - Pim Palsgraaf

Not searching, but researching.

This project started with testing capabilities and conditions of different materials under stress. One material stood out and needed further testing and developing. Concrete seemed to withstand any kind of stress by hand. What if I'd change its properties?

Manipulated cubes with everyday objects found in the Academy of Architecture in them, showed to have impact on the structure, form and atmosphere of the material, resulting in a dozen uncontrollable landscapes: strong, soft, penetrated, clean cuts or held together.
